I’m Italian, born and raised in the Marche region, now living in Montgomery Village, Maryland.

My passion for photography began by chance. On a cloudy day, I went around the house in search of something to do. That was the day I found a Kodak Retinette 1A in my father’s closet. I started playing with it immediately…only realizing days later that I had to put film in it to actually “make” something.

I’ve been hooked since then.

I used the Kodak Retinette for quite a while, later changing it for a Pentax P30N.
This was followed by a Nikon F90 a few years later. I was in love with that camera, taking it everywhere I went and shooting many slides with it. It had been with me for 15 years, before I switched to digital; a Nikon D70s. Now I shoot with a Nikon D200 equipped with an 18-70mm and a 70-300mm VR.

Photography for me is not just about the “final product”. That’s just the tip of the iceberg. I enjoy the contact with nature, I like walking around looking for subjects to freeze in an image. I love the sense of isolation that overcomes me when I see the world through my camera's lens.

Perhaps the thing I like the most about photography is the fact that even after several years, when I look at an old picture, that takes me back to the moment I shot it.
This brings back the feelings and the thoughts that went through my mind at that particular moment.

I’m a self-taught photographer and I try to continuously learn from others as well as from that infinite source which is the internet, visiting galleries and photography related websites looking for tips and techniques.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my website. I hope you enjoy it.
